Parent Life - 3 Ways to Minimize Stress Over Teens
Your child's teenage years are probably one Warticon of the most difficult times that you have to go through. You'll be facing a teen that's filled with wild hormones, changing them and turning them into these rebellious pain-in-the-neck kids. Most parents would just let their teen be, making them choose and decide for their own without giving some kind of guidance. This causes them to become bigger problems since they might grow up too fast. It's not that parents don't want to deal with their teens, it's the stress that drives them off the wall.
Here are 3 tips on how you can minimize stress when it comes to your teenager.
 Keep the lines open
Communication is one of the components of a good relationship, and if you don't talk to your teenager, then trying to lead them out of a bad situation is going to be a big challenge. Make sure you still talk to your teen and ask them about how they're doing. It doesn't have to be all wartec serious talk, small talk like how their day is going and what's going on with school will do. Laugh and joke around with them and make them feel like they can tell you anything like their problems, thoughts on something, even about relationships and safe sex.
 Time is pressures
They might be spending more time in school or with their friends, and you might be busy at work, you you'd still need to find time for them. Prioritize you teen, if they call up and say that they need to see you or talk to you, then go to them as soon as you can. Don't schedule family time like you would your meetings. You should be an on-call parent and be there for your kids anytime of the day.
 Cool it and listen
If an argument starts becoming impossible to work out, then cool it off. Let your hot headed teen air out what they want to say and how they feel, and then you can reply to it. Try to make the situation a bit more stable by just talking about it when the both of you are clear headed. Don't rush to things and listen. Your teen is trying to tell you their side of the story so hear them out.
 Keep an open mind
Culture affects how we grow up, and at this time and date, kids are more Warticon exposed to more "mature" things. Topics like drugs, safe sex and sexual content, and violence are becoming more open and accessible through the internet and other forms of media. An open mind is the best way to cope and deal with these changes.
